Where do we go next?

Once we recognize underdeveloped jaws and mouth breathing are the root cause of the symptoms we are noticing we can actually do something to solve the problem rather then treating the symptoms.

To get your child back on track we need to guide the growth of the jaws back to where nature intended them to be. The best time to do that is before all the permanent adult teeth come.

The process

01

Bring your child in for a complementary consultation

We'll get a thorough history of what you have experienced so far and any prior treatments or surgeries. Our team will take pictures and 3D images of your child's mouth and Dr. Kamodia will do an oral evaluation.

02

Come back to discuss your child's treatment needs

Dr. Kamodia will bring only the parents back on a different day to review what she has learned about their child from the last visit and talk about the specific treatment plan that would be best for each child.

03

Begin treatment

Every child starts by learning about nasal hygiene and practicing myofunctional exercises. From there some children would benefit from an expander while others only a growth guidance appliance. This part of the plan is customized to your child.

04

Follow up

You'll have regular follow up appointments so we can monitor progress closely at the beginning. Once we are seeing progress and results we can move to quarterly or biannual follow up visits.
